How do i kno if my 8800 gt 512mb OC video card will/is overheat/ing?

like, should i just leave my desktop on throughout the day when i can hear the fan of the video card

or does will the video card only have a chance of overheating when i play games

so basically, will my card overheat if i just leave my desktop running all day with no activity|||if you think your card is/will overheat just buy a graphics card fan from a computer hardware store make sure you have the right size they are really good the reason i say to get the right size is because they come in many sizes and are easy to mess up. the fan will keep your graphics card cool like it does your cpu and tower. and if you can hear weird noises coming from your pc it most likely is your graphics card.|||The card have pretty high tolerance with heat...it can goes to 100+ centigrade...but the fan should take care of that....if you left the computer on and no activity, the answer is No...

It only start to heats up if you're playing games, since that's what it's there for...to get you to see all the eye-candy in the games.

Of course, if you see strange things while you're playing one of the game, like things clipping weird. Things that display odd behaviour than you need to start to worry.|||get riva tuner, it has a facility the monitor the temp, so does nvidia ntune, in any case, it'll only be a prob under load and if too hot it'll cut out.
