I cant play SIMS2
because i have a
Intel(R)
pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz
224MB of RAM
what the most important to buy a memory card or to buy more RAM?
to play sims2...only one..i dont have enough money to buy ram and vedeo card...|||Ur PC speed of 2.40Ghz is good enough to support Sims2.. All you need is to buy more RAM.. Buy 1GB ram because it'll help in many other games or if you cant afford it buy 256 MB RAM.. You'll be able to play Sims2 then..
In India cost of 1GB RAM (DDR2)- 15-18 Dollars
256 MB RAM (DDR2)- 10-12 Dollars|||At present state it's probably your RAM. Get at least a GIG if you can.
Generally speaking it could be either or... in your case your RAM is really low. Lower than it should be for most windows operations so that's a good place to start. SIMS might still run poorly even after that though if your video card is also bad.
The additional RAM should make your computer as a whole run a lot better.|||Do you have Vista or XP?
For XP you need 1 GB, for Vista 2 GB. Memory is cheap and easy to install. Sims 2 has a list of supported graphics chips/cards on the box or website. Tell me what kind of graphics you have or what model/brand. A discrete (separate) graphics card is best for sims, but it runs fine on a Dell laptop with the 945/965 chipset graphics.|||I would start by buying more ram. 224 megs isn't enough to run hardly anything these days. Boost it to at least 1 gig (XP), or 2 gigs (Vista). Also make sure that your system's swap file is at least twice the size of the installed ram. |||You need both. Say goodbye to that old P4 & get quad core. Get about 2GB of Ram & 512MB of video ram at a minimum to keep up w/ todays internet & games. |||RAM|||If I were u I'd buy both, keep on saving money
