What is a good video card that isn't TOO expensive?

I currently have a Radeon 9000 64 mb video card. Looking to upgrade it so I can run WoW better and be able to play StarCraft 2 when it eventually comes out.

$100-$300 is fine.. but no more than $350 please.

Other specs if it matters: 1.8 ghz, 512 MB RAM.

If you need any other details, let me know.|||There is going to be a point of diminishing returns on upgrading the video in your system. No matter how good of a video card you get, you're still going to be limited by your processor and memory on higher end games. I'd suggest spending a moderate amont on a video card upgrade, and add some more memory.

A card like this GeForce 7600 GT for $75 after rebate:

Would be a really big upgrade over what you currently have.

Add another 1 GB of memory for $40-$50 or so, and you'll be good for a while.

There's really no point in adding a top of the line video card like a 8600GTS or 8800GTS to a 1.8GHz system.|||geforce cards are good|||Nvidia GeForce FX5200 256MB. My dad got one of those to replace the integrated 64MB video on his motherboard. Now he can play RealFlight (rc flight simulator) with no slowdowns. I know someone who has the 128MB version of this card, and it works great!! Overall this is a good card, it runs anywhere from $70 to $100, depending on where you buy it. All else, it will be a great replacement for your crappy Ati card. (Get another 512MB so you meet the recommended system requirements)|||Yes, an EVGA 7600GT is a great upgrade of a video card.

Your best bet is an Nvidia 7600GT.

But don't forget, the better a graphics card,

the better power supply you need!

Also, make sure if you have an AGP, PCi, or PCI Express Slot.

But you can upgrade to a DX10 video card for $150 less if you want. XFX 8600GTS.
