Getting an error message saying video card does not support alpha blending.?

Trying to play Call of Duty 1 and 2 and I have a Compaq Presario P4 with a VIA/S3Unichrome video card. Plus I'm getting a message to update my drivers. I did but that didn't work either. New computer, should have problems running games.|||Its more then likely that your present video card can't support high tech gaming. Investigate quality gaming video cards.
