How can i tell if a video card is for PCI or not?

i want a new video card but im not sure if it will work with PCI slots. how can i be sure? there's PCIx16 PCIx1 and just PCI.|||PCI x 16 is used mainly for Graphics Cards

PCI x 1 is used for small hardware add-ons like sound cards

PCI is the traditional slot for network cards, and almost all other types of hardware.

One way to tell if it's PCI or AGP look at the bottom of the card. If it has a j hook at the end typically it's AGP. You could also go to the manuf website and look it up there.

Good question,

Chad|||Some manufacturers, BFG and XFX at least, show a diagram of the types of brackets (PCI, PCIx16, AGP) on the side of the boxes of their cards. Look at what's inside your PC and compare it with these, and you should be golden.|||First be sure what Slot u have in your machine.

Then by Video card accordingly.

White slots are PCI, PCI-X

Black and smaller,PCI-E
