Minimum specs. for a video card with a 23 inch wide-screen monitor?

What are the minimum specifications for a video card to properly display on a 23 inch wide-screen monitor through a VGA or HDMI connection? This will be mainly used for basic use, but occasionally will be used to watch HDTV through Windows Media Center.

I currently have an NVIDIA GeForce 6200SE TurboCache (TM) with 64MB of dedicated video memory.|||the bigger the monitor, the harder it will be for your graphics card to do normal tasks. to do basics, the one you have is ok. but for hd movies, they wont play. i have an nvidia 8600gt with 256mb and it works fine on a 46in tv at a high resolution. i would recomend though, getting at least an nvidia 8800gtx with 512mb so you will be prepared down the road as graphics card are becoming obsolete fast. it is around $200 but it is definately worth it. also if you have a choice, make sure you hook it up with hdmi as you will get a much better picture.
